Faith Lift
The Pendleton United Church Faith Lift The Team: Faith, Hope, and Charity continues to prevail. Dedicated May 7, 2006 and for the use of all who need it now and in the years to come. Licensed in the summer of 2006 and well used by many.
In 2005-2006 an Elevator/Faith Lift was installed making the basement of the Church building accessible to all. The Faith Lift Project was a team effort from beginning to ending. The inspiration was a former Minister Reverend Gail Christy.
*Research and Management Co-ordinators
*Professionals -- engineers, municipal inspectors, integrated custom services, and electrical.
*Senior Citizens -- with hammer and saw plus square level and plumb rule.
*Fund Raising Committee Ladies.
Almost a year of fundraising went into this project. The community support was truly amazing. Many companies donated thousands of dollars to making our Pendleton building accessible to all people in this community. A Dance and Family Fun Night were held with a silent auction on items donated by the community businesses!
And we danced and celebrated with the community!
